According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t plan on bringing back wide receiver Hines Ward next season.
Right now it makes the most sense for the Steelers to let Ward walk, since he’d make $4 million in the final year of his contract, which is a lot of money for a player that isn’t a starter any longer.
Even if Ward took a pay cut he wouldn’t be worth keeping at this point, since the Steelers are working to get under the salary cap.
