According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, some people close to Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III are worried that the Skins are putting pressure on him to return too quickly from reconstructive knee surgery.
The feeling from some of those close to Griffin is that both the team – which took great criticism for allowing Griffin to play through injury in the playoffs against Seattle – and others around Griffin will put undue pressure on him to return too quickly and risk reinjuring the knee.
This wouldn’t surprise me at all. Even though the Redskins have done a great job of acquiring players over the past few years, they’ve done a terrible job with managing injuries. Last year was a prime example when they clearly allowed Griffin to come back too early.
