According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Seattle Seahawks denied the Dolphins permission to interview senior personnel executive Scot McCloughan for their open general manager position.
Per a league source, the Dolphins requested permission to interview McCloughan. The Seahawks denied the request, at McCloughan’s request.
McCloughan isn’t ready to leave Seattle, where he has played an important supporting role in the rise of the team that will face on Sunday the team McCloughan had a direct role in building as the predecessor to Trent Baalke. Players like Frank Gore, Justin Smith, Joe Staley, and Patrick Willis were acquired by McCloughan.
The Dolphins can’t seem to catch any kind of breaks.
