Jay Glazer of FOX Sports told The Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday that the Seattle Seahawks almost drafted Andy Dalton back in 2011, but changed their minds at the last minute.
“Years ago Seattle, on the clock, they and intended to take Andy Dalton and they changed while they were on the clock. Which is a good thing because they ended up with their quarterback of the future–was the next year in Russell Wilson,” said Glazer.
In 2011, the Seahawks used the 25th overall pick on offensive lineman James Carpenter. I’m going to assume that’s the pick they would have used on Dalton since he was taken ten picks later by the Bengals.
