According to Chick Hernandez of CSN Washington, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III called the wrong pass protection on the final offensive play in which he threw the game-sealing interception.
Redskins team sources confirm to me Robert Griffin III called the wrong protection on their final offensive play. His post-game comments regarding “no one got open” rubbed teammates the wrong way considering the miscommunication. Today the locker room was unified in their support of the QB.
This is very interesting, but I’m sure many quarterbacks around the NFL don’t always call the right protection, time to cut him a break.
