According to Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times, the Oakland Raiders have restructured the contracts of defensive lineman Richard Seymour and safety Michael Huff. This should help them get additional cap relief as we get closer to the beginning of the new league year.
Seymour dropped his base salary to the league minimum of $925,000 and converted $6.5 million to guaranteed bonus money.
Huff’s salary went down to $700,000, that dropped his cap number by about $6 million.
Despite the relief in cap space, it looks like the Raiders will be forced to cut ties with linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.
