According to Chris Russell of ESPN 980 in Washington DC per rotoworld.com, free agent quarterback Peyton Manning isn’t interested in playing for the Redskins.
“A couple of different sources inside the organization have told me that Manning’s camp made it pretty clear to Redskins officials he doesn’t want to come here,” said Russell. “… Unless that changes — and I’m taking my sources at their word — I don’t think Manning’s coming to D.C.”
This doesn’t come as a surprise, since the Redskins don’t have the explosive weapons to attract Manning to come to DC. Their offensive line is also very questionable, and if your Manning you want to make sure you’re going to be protected.
It’s now time for the Redskins to move on and focus on trading up for Robert Griffin III in April’s draft.
