According to Bram Weinstein of ESPN, a source of his at ESPN, told him that it’s very likely that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and center Jeff Saturday will end up with the Washington Redskins this offseason.
The Redskins have been mentioned over the past couple of months as a team that could end up with Manning, if the Colts do decide to move on and release him.
It would make a lot of sense for the Redskins to add both Manning and Saturday. They clearly need the help on the offensive line as well as quarterback.
There will likely be a lot more potential free agents that the Colts decide to not re-sign since it looks like owner Jim Irsay is ready to blow things up and rebuild. Which means the Redskins could end up with both Manning and Saturday, which would add a sense of comfort for Manning as he transitions to a new team.
At this point, this is all speculation, but I really don’t believe it’s out of the question for at least Manning to end up in Washington.
In the end, Manning could end up with any team that needs a quarterback if he’s indeed released in the offseason.

Even though I’m a Dallas fan I was Washington before Dallas came into the league and I would love to see them get back to prominence and a trade of this sort would do it. Probably be the only time the owner spent money wisely. Mind you Manning knows more about football than the coach maybe its time to bring back player-coach.
No way Jerry Jones lets this happen, owner GM(done nothing positive since Jimmy Johnson showed him how to construct the worst team to the best 3 almost overnight)lets the brains ,Jimmy go and the nightmare of winning no titles begins,Oklahoma coach doesn’t count, idiot just watched what the brain built and Aikman, Emmitt,Irvin finished what the football man showed them, how to win titles.Jerry you just had the money and here’s your chance to do something that would work (getting Manning) and you finally would have a move thats all yours that you could gloat about and take to your grave smiling saying look Jimmy this football move is all mine and it just might bring my own title ,titles all mine all mine Jerry’s last words were heard
Peyton,go to the Raiders where you can be quarterback and offensive co-ordinator.Hell they might even give you owners points and make you head coach if you want it.It could be a lifetime job.Just tell them what you want.Shanahan is not wrapped too tight and rex is an idiot. These people will get you killed.
i can’t believe the colts would let manning go after what he has done over the years. i always thought the colts would offer him a job in the front office. and what better QB to tutor luck
dont believe the hype peyton want go no where he will be back and if we do get luck we will use him to get a *** kicking o-line dont get caught up n da hype people peyton will retire n indy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When asked as a child “who is your favorite player?” Peyton responded “my dad”. When asked as a child “who is your favorite team?” young Peyton responded “the Redskins”. Nothing in this life is guaranteed but you can rest assured that faithfulness of a Redskins fan will never die. Come on home Peyton…..Go Skins!
Ive been hearing rumors too that if Indy release Manning, then, the skins might pick him up<i say,he retires and becomes a QB coach for INDY,and SATurday, well ,heard he was to retiring too.Let the rumor mill run.HTTR
