According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New England Patriots have signed tight end Rob Gronkowski to a six-year, $54 million contract. It will be interesting to see what type of guaranteed money is included in the deal.
Gronkowski is now the highest paid tight end in NFL history. He certainly deserves the big pay day after a monster season in 2011. He hauled in 90 receptions for 1,327 yards and 17 touchdowns. He’s clearly worth the money he’s about to earn.
