Report: Packers tried to deal James Jones prior to the draft

According to Aaron Nagler of CheeseheadTV.com, the Green Bay Packers were actively shopping wide receiver James Jones before this year’s draft, but were unable to stir up any interest.

One of  Jones’ problems is that he dropped a lot of passes last season, despite the fact that he has a knack for making big plays.  This is clearly something that will deter teams from wanting him.

Another reason for a lack of interest in Jones might be because he’s scheduled to make $2.3 million in 2013.
