Report: Packers, B.J. Raji close to finalizing a one-year deal

According to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel,  the Packers have made an offer to defensive lineman B.J. Raji.

Defensive lineman B.J. Raji appears close to forsaking unrestricted free agency and re-signing with the Green Bay Packers for one year and at their price.

The Packers had offered Raji the options of one- and two-year contracts, the Journal Sentinel learned. For one year, their offer was for about $4 million.

The Journal Sentinel reported that Raji last season turned down a long-term offer averaging $8 million. That offer contained about $20 million in guaranteed money.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter also reported that the Packers and Raji are close to finalizing a deal.
