According to Mike Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the San Francisco 49ers inquired about Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace, but they were told he’s looking for a lot of money.
Wallace is reportedly looking for a deal that will pay him more than Larry Fitzgerald’s eight-year $120 million contract.
At this point its obvious that teams aren’t trying to acquire Wallace because no one is willing to pay him that kind of money. While he’s a great up and coming receiver, he’s not even on Fitzgerald’s level yet.
It looks like Wallace will be playing in Pittsburgh in 2012.

He’s nuts. No way, no how he’s gonna get that kind of coin.
Time to drug test Mr. Wallace
Rooneys havenever bowed to their players and never will. His career with the Steelers is shortlived. Some unstable owner like Jones or Snyder or even the Jets owner will pay him that kind of scratch.
