Report: Mike Tannenbaum asked Darrelle Revis who the Jets could sign to replace him

According to Andrew Kramer via Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network,  three days after undergoing surgery to repair his ACL, former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum asked cornerback Darrelle Revis who they could sign to replace him.

This is exactly why an idiot like Tannenbaum was fired and will have a hard time getting another job in the NFL.  That is one of the most heartless things I’ve ever heard.

Update: Rapoport misinterprested what Kramer was reporting, but it’s still not a nice thing to ask a player that underwent ACL surgery and is done for the season.
