According to the New York Daily News, not only will Strahan continue to co-host his show Live with Kelly and Michael, but he’s about to sign a deal with Good Morning America.
Strahan, 42, was hammering out the final details of a contract that would make him a permanent member of the breakfast show’s crew, a source with knowledge of the deal told the Daily News Tuesday.
“They’re on the verge of signing the deal,” the souce said. “I could be announced this week.”
Under the arrangement in the works, Strahan would do double duty at ABC, keeping his gig as host of “Live with Kelly and Michael.”
The source said the deal has been in the works for months and has nothing to do with the recent departure of Josh Elliott from “Good Morning America.”
Somewhere Strahan’s former teammate Tiki Barber is chugging down shots of tequila in envy.
