According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Evan Silva, Forte won’t sign his franchise tender, the only thing he’s willing to sign is a long-term deal.
“He’s not signing anything until he has a long-term deal. And until he has that…u will not see Forte in Chicago,” said Schefter.
Forte played the 2011 season instead of holding out for a new deal and he was hopeful the Bears would return the favor by giving him the deal he’s looking for. Instead they slapped the franchise tag on him and signed free agent Michael Bush.
Now it looks like the Bears and their fans won’t see Forte on the field until he gets what he wants.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
