According to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is looking for a contract that will be very similar to what Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson received from their respective teams.
The Bears on the other hand only want to pay Forte as if he’s just an average running back.
I really don’t see how Forte sticks around in Chicago–it’s been obvious from day one that they aren’t willing to pay him. They just signed Michael Bush in free agency, and it’s clear that he’s not in their future plans.
At the end of the day, the Bears should trade Forte in order to allow him to get the money he deserves. They would then at least receive some compensation in return for him.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
