If everything goes according to plan, San Diego Chargers’ linebacker Manti Te’o will practice with the team on Wednesday for the first time since August 8th.
Te’o has missed the first two games of the season with what head coach Mike McCoy called a “foot sprain” that Te’o suffered in his first preseason game. The rookie linebacker says he didn’t like having to sit out all those games.
I’m not used to sitting out that much,” said Manti Te’o, who missed zero of 51 games during his college career at Notre Dame. “It’s not something I’ll ever get used to.
Defensively, the Chargers could use the help. Even if that help is coming from an unproven rookie. The team is currently ranked 31st in overall defense giving up 61 points through the first game.
