According to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins ended up undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL after Super Bowl XLVI.
Mankins will likely not be ready for mini camp and training camp. That’s why the Patriots ended up signing free agent guard Robert Gallery on Monday.
Mankins injured his knee against the Miami Dolphins on December 24th and then missed the season finale. He was able to play throughout the playoffs and into the Super Bowl. But once his knee was hit during the Super Bowl, the doctors determine he had been playing with a torn ACL.
