While the Lions have listed running back Reggie Bush (knee) as questionable for this Sunday’s game against the Redskins, Detroit may end up holding him out, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Per a league source, the Lions may opt to play it safe with Bush. They want him to be available for the long haul, and so they’re inclined to give him a week off to heal before putting him back in harm’s way.
Keep an eye on this one. If he travels to D.C. on Saturday, the decision may not be made until pre-game warmups.
If Bush doesn’t play, Joique Bell will get the start and my guess is he’ll have a good game against a Redskins defense that’s been giving up chunks of yards to opposing running backs.
