Report: Jets looking at drafting a guard, pass rusher with the 8th & 13th picks

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, his sources have told him that they believe Jets’ general manager John Idzik will use his first two picks on a guard and a pass rusher.

Multiple league sources believe Idzik will use his two first-round picks on a guard (talk about conservative) and a pass-rusher. Possible targets are North Carolina guard Jonathan Cooper, Alabama guard Chance Warmack and LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo. A cornerback could be in play, especially if Alabama’s Dee Milliner slips, which could happen.

While it might seem like idzik is being very conservative, the Jets have a lot of pressing needs that include both guard and pass rusher.
