Report: Jermichael FInley has a bruised spinal cord

The good news is that Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is now out of the ICU, but no one knows what the future of his football career looks like.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel,  Finley suffered a bruised spinal cord in his neck during Sunday’s game against the Browns.

A source did confirm that the Green Bay Packers tight end suffered a bruised spinal cord in his neck against the Cleveland Browns. He is expected to seek more medical opinions on the injury and take his time through the evaluation process.

“At the end of the day,” head coach Mike McCarthy said, “we’re going to do what’s in the best interest of Jermichael Finley.”

Many NFL players have had their career’s shortened due to neck injuries.  The most important thing right now is Finley’s well being, not football.

I speak for every Packer fan, who wishes Jermicheal all the best. JM, Your 52 yard catch was a thing of beauty, BUT take care of you. there isn’t a single Packer fan who wants you to come back if it means getting hurt permanently. You have a huge number of people remembering the man in their prayers, not the player. Godspeed and good luck.
