Report: Jay Ratliff might begin the season on the PUP list

According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com,  Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff might begin the season on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury.

If Ratliff remains on the PUP list, the Cowboys will have to wait until after week six to activate him.

It seems ludicrous that so many Cowboys have trouble with hamstring injuries. The trainer needs to employ acupuncturists to figure out why these athletes can’t keep their ‘hammies’ strong! This is ridiculous. Why aren’t the trainers helping these guys stretch more. Off season training should include exercises to reduce the hamstring injuries.

tI think you are right there must be more in treatment and training than they are doing on the training staff in Dallas. The cowboys have so many injuries every year that it makes me think their players are not in shape good enough to play the game and their training and regimen is not harsh enough often to get them through practice let alone much of the playing season.
