Jaguars general manager David Caldwell has already made it clear that he won’t trade running back Maurice Jones-Drew, even though his contract runs out after this season and no one knows if Jacksonville plans on re-signing him.
It sounds like things may have changed in Jacksonville.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Jags are willing to trade Jones-Drew for the right price.
Per a league source, a deal would indeed be done, at the right price.
With teams not valuing the running back position the way they used to and the fact that Jones-Drew will be 29 years old next March, I can’t imagine any team being willing enough to give the Jaguars an offer they can’t refuse.
