Report: Giants won’t fire special teams coach Tom Quinn

According to Jordan Ranaan of the Newark Star-Ledger,  the New York Giants plan on keeping special teams coach Tom Quinn.

Special teams coordinator Tom Quinn will be back next season, multiple sources with knowledge of the team’s thinking told NJ.com and The Star-Ledger. So will defensive coordinator Perry Fewell after the Washington Redskins decided Thursday to go in another direction with their head coaching hire.

The Giants special teams unit was horrible this season, but it was mostly due to the fact that they had a lot of young players on the field.  It looks like Quinn will get a mulligan for this season and the Giants will see how he bounces back next season.
