According to Dan Graziano of ESPNNewYork.com, the Giants haven’t made an offer to cornerback Terrell Thomas yet.
Terrell Thomas is another player I think the Giants would take back at their (likely somewhat low) price. But as recently as Thursday, they had made no offer to him.Thomas wanted to test the market and see what he could make as a free agent, which is understandable after he missed the entire 2011 and 2012 seasons with those ACL injuries and lost a couple of prime years. So with a player like that, the Giants tell him to go ahead and find what his market is and then come back to them if he wants to talk about a deal at their number. However, it does seem as though the Giants are determined to do better if they can, so they’ve been poking around on guys like Corey Graham and Tracy Porter, who have signed elsewhere, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who’s visiting the Jets and the Giants this weekend. It’s possible, I guess, that they could end up going back to Thomas and he back to them when the dust settles. But they seem to have moved on to other options, and I think he knows he needs to do the same.
I would imagine that Thomas will want to hear the Giants offer if another team made an offer to him.
While Thomas had a good season in 2013. He’s still not the player he was in 2010 prior to tearing his up his knee twice.
