Report: Giants believe Linval Joseph will cost too much to re-sign

According to NJ.com,  the New York Giants are hopeful they can re-sign Linval Joseph but think he’ll cost too much in the end.

The Giants have yet to make an official offer to veteran defensive end Justin Tuck and, while still hopeful something can be worked out with Linval Joseph, the Giants believe the defensive tackle will be too costly to keep.

I find it interesting that the Giants are prioritizing  Beason over Joseph.  I guess you have to figure he’ll be cheaper due to long-term concerns over his knee and the fact that he becomes a key leader in the Giants locker room.

The Giants seem to rotate DT’s in and out every year. I stopped worrying a few years ago they always seem to find talent for DT while some other team overpays.
