According to Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger, the New York Giants and running back Andre Brown both want to make sure they get a new contract done this offseason.
Brown had made it clear he wants to come back and the Giants have already shown interest, per Orr.
As he left the facility on Monday, though, he told The Star-Ledger he would be willing to get a deal done with the Giants as soon as possible. According to a person familiar with the situation, the team has already expressed interest in retaining the running back for next season. The person requested anonymity in order to speak freely on the matter.
“Shoot, I got family up here and everything, I’ll do it tomorrow if you want to,” said Brown.
Brown knows he has to be patient.
“We just gotta wait,” Brown said. “Evaluations and stuff, then we’ll go on from there.”
Brown has been a great back even though he’s had a hard time staying healthy I’m sure both sides will get something done.
