According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Philadelphia Eagles will likely place the franchise tag on wide receiver DeSean Jackson and look to trade him.
If the Eagles can’t get fair market value for Jackson, he’ll likely be back for the 2012 season, so he can try and prove whether or not they should sign him to a long term deal.
At this point, it looks like the Eagles would be fine with moving on from Jackson with players like Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin on the team, that could pick up the left over slack. That’s of course if they’re able to work out a fair deal to trade Jackson.

Riley Cooper would not pick up the slack. Without Desean, Eagles would definitely need to pick up another WR that demands double coverage.
Gator arms will not be missed, Daruis Heyward Bey is on the market. Get em Banner!!!

I have to agree with 1CanadianEagle. No way should the Eagles let Desean walk. Let’s dialog with our players!!!
