Report: Dwight Freeney’s demands making it difficult to get a deal done with Denver

According to Michelle Beisner of the NFL Network via NFL.com, free agent defensive end Dwight Freeney is looking for a contract that will pay him $6 million a year.

Freeney’s demands are complicating things and may make it difficult for both sides to get a deal done any time soon.  He may not sign anywhere until training camp or later, per Beisner.

Freeney is asking for way too much money.  He’s 33 years-old and is past his prime.  If he wants to play in 2013, he’s going to have to lower his asking price.
