Report: Drew Rosenhaus offered cash to Dez Bryant's advisor to sign him prior to the 2010 draft
According to Yahoo! Sports, David Wells who has been a long time advisor of Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant claims that NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus offered him cash and a trip to Miami in order to be able to sign Bryant before the 2010 NFL draft.
“David Wells, a longtime advisor to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, has accused high-profile agent Drew Rosenhaus of offering him a prohibited cash payment and trip to Miami in an effort to sign Bryant, Yahoo! Sports has learned.
“The offers, through a series of text messages prior to the 2010 NFL draft, are apparent violations of the NFL Players Association’s regulations on agents,” reported Y! Sports.
This doesn’t come as a surprise to me after the money problems Rosenhaus has encountered over the years. I know a lot people don’t believe he could have any problems because of all the clients he has, but he loans out a lot of money to his guys that doesn’t get paid back, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
