Report: Dolphins inquiring about Jermichael Finley to gather more info on his neck.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported on Sunday that the Dolphins are interested in former Packers tight end Jermichael Finley.

According to Dave Hyde of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel,  the Dolphins are interested, but they’re looking for more information on Finley’s neck.

Everything hinges on Finley’s medical status. He has neck problems and the X-Rays and MRIs will dictate if he can play again. The Dolphins have inquired (as first reported by Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson), but the level of inquiry is simply as a we-want-more-information status, I am told. We’ll see if it progressed beyond that. If Finley is medically cleared – again, IF – then a low-dollars, low-risk contract deal would be discussed.
