The Miami Dolphins have some tough decisions coming up. Along with deciding how to resign cornerback Brent Grimes, the team also has to make decisions on defensive linemen Randy Starks and Paul Soliai.
Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins haven’t offered Soliai a deal. Beasley does point out that it’s the team plan to offer him one before free agency begins in two weeks.
In free agency the Dolphins will have competition. Beasley says that there was “unofficial” interest in Soliai over the past weekend at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. The interest will have to remain unofficial because teams are not allowed to even talk to agents until March 8th and wait until March 11th to sign the players they represent.
The team will have to option to franchise Soliai now that the team said they won’t use the tag on Grimes.
