Report: Dolphins, Hartline closing in on an extension

According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, the Miami Dolphins and wide receiver Brian Hartline are close to finalizing a contract extension.

A source told FOXSports.com that Brian Hartline and the Dolphins are nearing agreement on a contract that would keep the wide receiver from hitting the free-agent market. The multiyear deal would average between $6 million and $6.5 million a season, the source said.

If the Dophins can sign Mike Wallace in free agency, to go along with Hartline and Devone Bess, they’ll be good shape heading into next season.
