Report: Cowboys will fire Jason Garrett if they miss the playoffs, looking at Jon Gruden

According to Dan patrick if the Dan Patrick Show (via Business Insider), the Dallas Cowboys will fire head coach Jason Garrett if they miss the playoffs this season.

According to Patrick, the Cowboys “have quietly started their coaching search” and “Jerry Jones’ plane…has made a couple of stops,”  Patrick added that the Cowboys, prior to this past weekend’s game, were “kicking the tires on seeing who will be available,” and that he was told there will be a coaching change if Dallas does not make the playoffs.

The Cowboys’ head coaching job would be a very attractive one if it becomes available.  Of course we don’t know if Gruden will be interested, but my guess is that it would entice him.
