According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, the Cowboys aren’t expected to throw big money at running back DeMarco Murray in order to keep him.
DeMarco Murray is an interesting case. The running back market has flat-lined and I’m on record saying the Cowboys should approach him now with a reasonable deal to see if he would bite. Murray had a terrific season last year, even missing two games. He is a difference-maker, but I don’t think you’ll see the Cowboys throw max money at him.
Murray is a good player, but Dallas could find a replacement for him fairly easily.
