Report: Cowboys begin contract talks with Tony Romo

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the Dallas Cowboys and the reps of quarterback Tony Romo have begun preliminary talks towards getting a contract extension hammered out.

Romo’s current contract isn’t set to expire until 2016, but the years of 2014-2016 are voidable years.  It looks like the Cowboys want to lock him up with a more secure contract that will free up some cap room as well as reward their franchise quarterback.
