Report: Chiefs would like to trade for Nick Foles

According to Mike Garafolo of USA TODAY Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs and head coach Andy Reid are interested in trading for Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.

The Chiefs and new coach Andy Reid are interested in acquiring Foles if he becomes available, according to a person informed of the team’s thinking. The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the Chiefs haven’t discussed their thoughts publicly, said the team is working on plans to add a quarterback and considers Foles a possibility.

Reid of course drafted Foles last April while he was the Eagles head coach.  He also tried to talk Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie into letting him rebuild the team with Foles under center, so he clearly believes in the young quarterback.

Stop Andy Reid. Unless Nick Foles is Bargain Basement which he will not be, the Cheifs need to build from the draft or trade for a better QB such Alex Smith. They do not need another Matt Cassell. Foles is not the future.
