Report: Chargers have seriously discussed Bruce Arians, Ken Whisenhunt interested

According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chargers have seriously discussed Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians as a possible head coaching candidate.

Former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt is reportedly interested in the job.

Both Arians and Whisenhunt are worthy head coaching candidates.  Arians did a phenomenal job in Indianapolis this season.

    though Bruce Arians seems to a quality coach, no really knows how much coach pagano had to do with the Colts success this season. If the Chargers want to make a splash and win some of the fans back the way to go is Jon Gruden.

    Gruden’s claim to fame is stealing the Oakland Raiders playbook (from when he coached there) and using it against them to win the Superbowl. Outside of that, he has the same winning % as Norv. Gruden is NOT the guy. Check out Arians resume:
    ~Running backs coach for the Kansas City Chiefs;
    ~Worked with Bill Cowher in Pittsburgh Steelers;
    ~Tight Ends coach of the New Orleans Saints;
    ~QB coach of the Indianapolis Colts.( He was the first quarterback coach of Peyton Manning when he arrived in the NFL.);
    ~Offensive Coordinator (2001-2003) for the Cleveland Browns under Butch Davis;
    ~Steelers Wide Receivers coach;
    ~Promoted to Offensive Coordinator of the Steelers, a position he held until his contract expired after the 2011;
    ~Offensive Coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts,
    ~Interim Head Coach

    This guy has got everything the Chargers need to go to SB….not an in-the-booth washed up has-been.
