Report: Bucs, Mike Williams will meet Monday to continue to work on an extension

According to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, the Buccaneers and Mike Williams’ reps will get together on Monday to conduct a face-to-face meeting as they continue to work on hammering out a contract extension.

Williams’ agent and Bucs general manager Mark Dominik are scheduled to begin a new round of face-to-face negotiations aimed at completing a new deal for Williams here in Tampa on Monday.

The two sides actually began this process a few months ago, but the whole project was shelved after a few weeks to allow the Bucs to concentrate first on free agency and then on the draft.

After looking at Williams’ production so far during his career, I think he’ll get a contract that will pay him $4-$6 million per year.
