It’s been reported over the past month or so that the Jets want the Buccaneers 2013 first round pick in exchange for cornerback Darrelle Revis, but the Bucs are only willing to offer their 2014 first rounder. That may not be in the case.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Buccaneers are willing to part with this year’s first round pick, but the Jets want a lot more.
Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation tell PFT that the Buccaneers are willing to send the 13th overall pick in the 2013 draft to the Jets for Revis. The Jets, however, want “a lot more” than this year’s first-round pick, we’re told.
Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported last night that the Buccaneers are willing to give up a third and sixth round pick as well for Revis. I’m not sure what else they’re looking for. There’s clearly a disconnect between both of these stories.
