According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan on hiring Greg Schiano as their next head coach.
Schiano was on the radar of a few NFL teams per Schefter. He also spoke with the Rams at one point.
Schiano has been the head coach at Rutgers University since 2001. He did a great job in turning around that program, but has seemed to have maxed his potential there. The odds of a Big East school like Rutgers winning a BCS title game are very slim. I can’t blame him to giving the NFL another try.
Schiano was with the Chicago Bears from 1996-1998 as an assistant coach. So he has some NFL experience.
