Last week we learned that the Denver Broncos made two offers to the Philadelphia Eagles in an attempt to trade for cornerback Asante Samuel. Now it looks like the Broncos are no longer interested in acquiring Samuel, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The biggest hang up with the Eagles being able to trade Samuel is the fact that he’ll need to take a pay cut in order for a team to pull the trigger on a deal for him. This could be the reason the Broncos won’t pursue Samuel any longer.
