Report: Brandon Browner facing a suspension for PED use

According to Mike Silver of the NFL Network via NFL.com,  Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner is facing a suspension for performance enhancing drugs.

NFL Media columnist Mike Silver reports that Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner is facing another suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing drugs, according to the sources familiar with the situation. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday thatSeahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond III is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Thurmond is expected to drop an appeal of his suspension next week in order to return for the playoffs.

Browner was hammered with a four game suspension last season for PED use.  Looks like he never learned his lesson.  He’ll likely be hit with an eight game suspension since this is his second time.

Update: Browner’s agent has come out and denied that his client has been suspended for PED use.  Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports has reported that Silver’s report is false.

Update: Browner has been suspended for one year for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
