Report: Bears went after Jeff Otah before the Jets traded for him

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears ended up having “talks with the Panthers” about trading for offensive lineman Jeff Otah.
In the end, not acquiring Otah was the best thing to happen to the Bears, since he couldn’t even pass a physical with the Jets and might be sent back the Panthers.
