Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush told WSVN’s Sports Xtra on Sunday that his goal for this coming season is to lead the NFL in rushing, per the South Florida Sun-Sentinnel.
“I want the rushing title,” said Bush, who finished 11th in rushing last season. “This offseason I’ve been working towards that goal. Just being effective like I was this past season.
“Every time I rush the ball I want four yards,” said Bush, who averaged 5.0 yards per carry in 2011. ”I’m keeping my focus simple and small, but at same time helping my team progress.”
There’s no doubt in my mind that Bush has the talent to contend for an NFL rushing title after rushing for over 1,000 yards last season. The key for him will be whether or not he can remain healthy in 2012.
