Redskins’ wide receivers don’t worry Richard Sherman

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is very confident heading into Sunday’s playoff game against the Redskins.  So confident that he’s not worried about the Redskins’ receivers.

“None of them,” Sherman told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday as the Seahawks prepared to face the Redskins (Sunday, 4:30 p.m. ET, Fox) in an NFC wild-card playoff game.

Not Pierre Garcon, who leads the Redskins in receiving yards?

“I don’t think so,” Sherman said. “Not that I know of.”

Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin is excited to see Sherman and fellow second-year cornerback Brandon Browner go against the Redskins, whose top three wide receivers are Garcon, Josh Morgan and Santana Moss, 33, who leads the team with eight touchdown catches.

“He knows that this is the NFL, so he gives people respect, but other than that, his mentality is he can stop anyone,” Baldwin said.

Can he?

“I believe he can — except me.”

Sherman has talked a lot this seaosn, but he’s been backing up.  Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon should be a nice match up for him.
