Redskins rookie running back Chris Thompson told CSNWashington.com he’s now running and doing some other football moves as he continues to rehab from ACL surgery.
“Actually, I’m sprinting and doing a lot of cutting and moving around,” said Thompson.
Thompson knows he has to build up some trust in his knee.
“Now it’s pretty much the mental part of it,” he said. “That’s my biggest issue.”
Thompson says the Redskins probably won’t let him on the field until training camp.
“I’ll probably be able to do a little bit,” he said. “But for the most part, they are not going to release me and let me run wild until training camp. It’s tough, just being out here seeing these guys practicing. But I just have to be patient because I know my time will come.”
