According to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, the Washington Redskins have released wide receiver Jabar Gaffney.
No one knows exactly why Gaffney has been cut. Maybe it’s because of his Twitter rant, or the fact that the Redskins need to give rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III the number 10 that he’s been wearing.
In the end, it doesn’t matter why Gaffney has been released, because he’s a proven veteran receiver that’s been very productive over the years. Last season he hauled in 68 receptions for 947 yards and 5 touchdowns.
