Redskins lose Richard Crawford for the season

The Washington Redskins lost cornerback Richard Crawford for the season after he suffered a knee injury during Saturday’s preseason game against the Bills.

Crawford tore his LCL and possibly his ACL.

Mike Shanahan made the announcement that team trainers determined that Crawford had torn his LCL and a possible his ACL while returning a punt late in the first quarter.

Crawford, who was expected to be the team’s top punt returner during the regular season, had his right knee buckle under him as he was being tackled.
