Redskins’ LB Rob Jackson suspended 4 games for banned substance

According to the Washington Times, Redskins’ linebacker Rob Jackson has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season for testing positive for a banned substance.

The substance for which Jackson tested positive was a component of an unprescribed pain medication, one person said. Jackson’s appeal of the suspension is ongoing, according to the other source.

Jackson had a break out year in 2012 with 37 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 4 interceptions.
